In April 2010, reversed 5 counts and sentences totaling 100 years given to a young man with a severe intellectual disability. The appeals court unanimously agreed with David in a strongly worded opinion and granted a new trial. The case received national attention due to the extreme punishment handed down against a vulnerable citizen. The Texas Tribune published an article about this case.
Won a “Not Guilty” verdict in a felony jury trial for a client accused of Abandoning/Endangering a Child.
